The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £32,055-£38,744 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
Applications are invited for a research post at post-doctoral level (Research Associate) to work on an exciting new project in the new NIHR School for Public Health Research (NIHR SPHR). The post holder will be based in the Health Behaviour Research Centre. The NIHR SPHR brings together eight leading academic centres of excellence in applied public health research in England. The mission of the SPHR is to increase the evidence base for effective public health practice.
The successful applicant will play a central role in 'Active buildings' - a ground-breaking project that aims to model workplace layout in relation to physical activity.
The appointment is available from September/October 2012 and is funded for 24 months (2 years) in the first instance.
Applicants for the post must have an upper second or first-class degree and PhD in an exercise science, or relevant discipline. Applicants should also have experience of quantitative data collection and analysis, writing up results for publication and exceptional interpersonal skills. The applicant must have a strong interest in the relationship between physical activity and the built environment.
