Duties /Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role):
Purpose: To provide financial support to Assistant Financial Controller of Lotus Racing and Merchandise departments while the Financial Controller is on maternity leave.

Responsibilities:
Reconciliations of cars sold, turnover, gross margin on a monthly basis

Monthly balance sheet reconciliations including stock control for Lotus Racing and Merchandise

Preparation of monthly management accounts for Lotus Racing and Merchandise

Providing Assistant Financial Controller with variance analysis on monthly results and meeting with divisional managers to update them on financial performance

Reviewing project spend with divisional managers

Quarterly Licensing invoicing and reconciliations

Raising of invoices for Lotus Racing and Merchandising

Preparation of ad hoc information as required by Assistant Financial Controller

Manage the purchase order approval process, provide a check and challenge to the business before presenting to senior management for approval

Qualifications and Experience (Essential & Desirable criteria):

Essential criteria:
ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualified
Knowledge of current accounting standards
Ability to communicate cross divisional issues
Previous experience in a commercial based finance role
Confident, strong minded, assertive individual who is able to work as part of a team
Flexibility to work additional hours when deadlines need to be met

Desirable criteria:
Previous knowledge/experience of stock management

Working Environment: Modern, open plan office on the executive floor

Financial responsibility: Assisting Lotus Racing and Merchandise departments to manage their budgets responsibly

Challenges: Stock management. Provide checks and be confident to challenge the business on effectiveness of spending requests, communicating business requirements to the centre and vice versa

This position is required for a temporary period of up to 12 months
