Early Years Physical Activity Development Officer

Full time, fixed term commencing 3rd September 2012 until 31st March 2013

Blaby District Council is situated to the south of Leicester with excellent access to the Midlands and the rest of the country. This post is based at The Pavillion, Huncote.

We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Health and Recreation team. As the Early Years Physical Activity Development officer, the successful post holder will be required to increase the physical activity participation levels of children aged 0 to 5 years and their families through the development, co-ordination and promotion of a range of physical activity opportunities. This will be achieved by working with families and other agencies to tackle Obesity within the Blaby, Oadby and Wigston locality. The post holder will be required to co-ordinate instructors, deliver activities themselves, co-ordinate a programme of activities, work closely with partner agencies and monitor the project budget.
