Brick Fabrication Ltd ( www.brickfabrication.co.uk ) , a successful private company based in Pontypool, South Wales require an enthusiastic Engineering design graduate with up to 2 years experience to join a newly established design and development team to undertake innovative product development. This position will offer the selected individual an interesting and challenging role. The company aim to design and develop new innovative building construction products over the period of the KTP and to do this require re-design and improvements to existing machinery and the development of new machines to improve production efficiencies, in the first instance this will involve brick cutting machines.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in Engineering, New Product Design and development (NPDD) processes and project management in the technology / Engineering field. A good basic mechanical engineering background and a love of the subject together with a working knowledge of, and competence in mechanical CAD is required. Some experience of software integration capability (CAD-CAM) and PLC machine programming would be an advantage; however support is available to help with any skills shortage.
