They currently have a requirement for a Java Integration Developer to join their Edinburgh office. The role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced developer to take on a challenging new role in an expanding business.
Role Overview
To support the continued expansion of Business and Technology Platform the client are currently seeking an exceptional Developer to specialise in integration of our platform to new
and exciting platforms. The role offers extensive business and technical challenges in a highly
dynamic and collaborative work environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to design and implement exciting integrations to new systems.
Technical Skills / Experience
- 3 Years Java/XML experience
- Proficiency in at least one of the J2EE - Application Servers (BEA Weblogic, IBM Websphere, JBoss / Tomcat)
- Proven experience in JSP/Servlets & web technologies
- Knowledge of scripting languages
- Expertise in Unit testing using JUNIT, TestNG, Cactus or mock objects
- Expertise in SVN, branching, code management
- Agile development methodology such as SCRUM, XP
In addition the following experience would be beneficial:
- Financial Services experience
- Experience in working with SOA/Integration technologies
- Experience in MQ Series or other message queuing technologies
- Experience in successfully using the Spring framework
- Expertise in Unit testing using JUNIT, TestNG, Cactus or mock objects
- Experience in developing RESTful clients is an added advantage
