This is an Apprenticeship. The employer has given an assurance the apprenticeship is government funded. Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of meals. Maintain and improve professional knowledge and competence. Ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately, and that the overall cleaning of the kitchen area is carried out effectively. Ensure that all morning and afternoon tea trolleys are prepared for the care staff to take at the appropriate times, cleared away and wiped down accordingly. Ensure statutory Health and Safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas. Off-the-job training to be delivered will coincide with the components of the apprenticeship: Level 2 Certificate in Healthcare Support Services (Combined competency and knowledge-based qualification).
