Youll support our team to provide technical support and analysis to ensure the effective management and efficient operation of the potable water network. This is a technical role that will see you providing technical input on water network operations on secondment in to the client. This will involve monitoring critical pressure points, investigating incidents and resolving metering issues across the network. Youll also assist our engineers in the detection of leaks and other performance issues.
About You
Ideally equipped with a HND/C or Degree in an Engineering, Environmental or Numerate Science related subject you'll demonstrate a good understanding of water operational management within the UK Water Industry/Networks as well as demonstration of technical ability through previous work experience of at least one or more areas of UK Water projects: Asset Performance Assessments / Reviews, Feasibility Studies / Options Development. With knowledge of, and the ability to work with, computer software and in particular GIS packages and MS Excel/Access you'll ideally also be experienced in using industry-specific software (e.g, Thames Waters GIS-F package, AORTA, PTW System, Pi-Wadis, Netbase, ArcView, TWEXnet, WAMI). With strong presentation skills and fluency in written and verbal communication skills in English you'll have the ability to work within a team but demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative on technical matters to achieve targets/solutions. You'll also demonstrate a willingness to work on secondment in Client Offices.
