Basic qualifications:
Applicants should have a relevant degree (eg. BSc / BEng at least in Process or Chemical Engineering) or equivalent.
Alongside sound technical ability, the successful candidate

- can demonstrate the thorough understanding of processes by applying fundamental engineering improvement principles
- be highly motivated

- will be prepared to take a leading role with respect to continuous improvement..
Preferred qualifications:
- OE Green Belt accreditation
- Trained and experienced as a HAZOP leader
- Experience of commissioning primary processing plant
- Leadership skills in particular in influencing others, foster enthusiasm and teamwork
Details:
As a process engineer at the Montrose or Irvine site, the successful candidate will work within the Technical Function and provide process engineering expertise to support production activities. This would involve working as a member of a cross-functional team to support primary manufacture processes and contributing to the resolution of technical issues having process engineering dimensions, including development of corrective and preventative actions to mitigate against their recurrence.
Other areas of involvement may include
- Providing technical process engineering input to capital projects – including design, equipment specification, safety studies
- Continuously improving process safety on site through identifying and assessing risk, and designing mitigation solutions
- Supporting the site’s automation ambition through design, specification and commissioning of automation projects.
