My client is a successful multi-site business with an impressive growth record over the past two years. They currently require a part qualified Finance Assistant to be based at their head office in Sheffield. This role will report directly to the Group Financial Controller.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the production of Monthly Management Accounts for several subsidiary businesses within the group
- Discussing financial transactions with other departments
- Competently produce monthly variance analysis and commentary
- Supplying precise weekly and monthly information for actual income, expense and KPI reporting, meeting all HO deadlines
- Responsible for all aspects of company motor vehicles whether owned or on contract hire
- Maintenance of finance systems
- Preparing annual budgets and monthly forecasts
- Contributing to discussions on improvements in financial transactions, models, templates, procedures or processes
- Providing and enable profitability analysis
- Attending Finance Reviews
- Investigating cash and income discrepancies
- Checking all sales invoices and credit notes are raised effectively
- Managing journal process and create any necessary journals to ensure accurate results
- Assisting in maintaining an accurate Fixed Asset register and creating monthly depreciation journals
The successful candidate will have a strong financial background and will be currently studying towards the CIMA or ACCA qualification. You should possess good commercial and business acumen and excellent excel skills (including a good working knowledge of Pivot Tables and V-Lookups and use of formula).
