An established apparel supplier across high street, supermarket and wholesale markets is looking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager. This is a senior management position with the organisation with key responsibility for stock inventory and importing management.
Operations Manager - The Role
Administration of stock, trim and component conciliation, ordering stock, accounts of internal and external stock
Contracts management
Perform monthly stock audits & provide detailed analyis
Produce weekly report writing and analysis updating stock levels, WIP, production by factory, shipped and delivered for all retail customers
Negotiating freight rates with India & Asia etc
Communicating with carriers, freight agents for incoming goods (air, sea, road)
To liaise with internal providers for trim, componetry and packaging, labels etc, and send to relevant factory in Asia
Efficiently handling clearance problems, paper trails and trouble shooting
Operations Manager - The Candidate
Ability to use own initiative, highly adaptable to changeable and challenging commercial environments, problem solving etc.
To implement and ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, security, health and safety requirements.
Ability to achieve and exceed KPI targets in a dynamic and complex business environment.
To build and maintain strong and effective relationships with suppliers and customers.
Highly competent IT literacy and database management skills including Excel.
A 'can do it' attitude, 'hands on' approach to your work. A team leader as well as player, are vitally important credentials to this role
