The Kier Group are currently seeking a Head of Strategic Marketing. This position will be based at our head office in Tempsford, Sandy Bedfordshire or our offices in Basingstoke.
The prime functions of this post –

Create and implement cost effective Marketing Strategies to meet agreed business objectives.

Develop, manage, promote & position the Kier Brand in target markets.
·
Protect and enhance the reputation of Kier through effective press and public relations.
Role Description –
·
Develop an annual Marketing Strategy to meet the agreed objectives of the business.
·
Agree annual Marketing Budget and deliver all activities to time and cost.
·
Manage strategic and tactical Marketing Campaigns and projects to increase sales across the division.
·
Conduct & analyse customer research, current market conditions & competitor information in order to identify requirements for current and future products or services.
·
Create, develop and mange the distribution of appropriate marketing materials and sales tools to promote the services provided by the division.
·
Ensure our Website is relevant, current and leads to better brand awareness.
·
Ensure all marketing materials meet the high standards of the brand, are consistent with guidelines and that photography is relevant and representative.
·
Organise and manage divisional events including corporate hospitality, conferences, seminars, speaking opportunities and launches to raise profile internally and externally.
·
Manage and maintain Press and Public Relations including agency activity and report statistics.
·
Secure relevant, timely and positive media coverage across all available channels.
·
Put plans in place to avoid negative press and manage any potential reputational issues swiftly and effectively.
·
Maintain professional internal & external relationships, including specialist agencies, that meet company values and make the best use of available resources.
·
Maintain customer records and update databases.
·
Review and prioritise sponsorship opportunities to position the brand effectively in target markets.
·
Ensure that all activities make tangible bottom line or top line impact through either generating more sales or reducing cost to the business.
·
Lead and develop direct reports, manage workload and ensure delivery of projects and targets.
·
Co-ordinate Divisional projects and work collaboratively with marketing teams across the group.
·
Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and provide regular board reports.
·
Act as a positive role model for others in the team.
·
Other projects and tasks as agreed to be appropriate to the role.
