We are looking to recruit a skilled SQL server reporting analyst to generate and write business reports for this national telecommunications company based in Edinburgh. The role is offering 23-25k per annum with a superb benefits package.

Strong SQL skills are essential, as is extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint for spreadsheets and presentation's needed to present the data.

It is assumed you will have strong SQL knowledge including T-SQL, Stored procedures, Views, Reporting Services, Normalisation & Entity Relationships - specifically working with SQL Server 2005. We would be keen to hear from any candidates with any experience of SQL reportin

You will also have extensive knowledge and usage of MS Excel including formulas, graphs, macros, pivot tables, data imports and exports

The writer will work on the preparation, analysis, forecast and management of data and will be heavily involved in the generation of Ad Hoc reports, as well as the manipulation, analysis and maintenance and improvement of existing management information (KPI), financial and invoice report templates and data exports.

Comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment, the Business and Reporting Analyst will be expected to meet strict deadlines with 100% data accuracy.

Essential skills and experience:

• Extensive usage of report writing and designing tools
• Data manipulation and data exports in various formats

Desirable skills and experience:

• SQL Server Business Intelligence studio 2005
• Visual Studio 2005 (VB.net/ASP.net)

Working week is Monday to Friday for 37.5 hours.
