COMMERCIAL UNDERWRITER (GLASGOW) £35,000
The role will involve underwriting high net worth commercial legal indemnity risks, negotiating and maximising business profitability by means of effective and flexible underwriting decisions and techniques. Working within agreed limits, you will ensure the delivery of first class service to clients. A key part of the role will be the delivery of new business by servicing clients and offering and exploring product opportunities with new and existing clients. You will build strong relationships with clients, solicitors and brokers plus assist in the development of these relationships through presentations, meetings and corporate events.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Solicitor/Qualified Lawyer with at least 4 years PQE who has detailed knowledge of the Scottish residential and commercial real estate market with proven experience of handling acquisitions and disposals, landlord & tenant and development work, and the sale and acquisition of commercial sites for development purposes. You will also have a keen interest in business development and will be able to demonstrate some experience of this.
