Harvey Nash's client a leading Software House and ranked Top 10 in the 300 SME companies to work for in Scotland has been going through some fantastic growth and new clients wins over the last few years. Growing from strength to strength, they have big plans to continue to expand their team. With this in mind, they have a Permanent requirement for a Development Manager (C#, ASP.Net, SQL Server, Microsoft Technologies) to join them working in the Edinburgh City Centre office ideally located within a 10 mins walk of Waverley station.
The role:
Managing a team of around 10 software developers working on new product developments and support and maintenance of released products. The Software R&D Department is a dynamic department consisting of a number of teams, the size and composition of which may alter according to project demands. Project requirements may involve movement between teams, and varied responsibilities.
The Development Manager:
We are looking for a friendly, personable, multi-tasker who is comfortable working well under pressure. You will ideally hold a Degree and be able to demonstrate a strong track record of managing teams of a minimum of 8 people. Good Project Management skills including planning, risk and issue management with good skills in formal development processes.
As the Development Manager you will be ideally have worked your way up through the ranks as a Developer and have an In depth, relevant technical knowledge gained at all levels on software development, up to Team Lead level with database and web development for business critical applications using some of the following C++, C#, .NET, SQL Server.
