Located in L’Derry, Northern Ireland, Seagate’s Springtown facility employs over 1,300 people involved in the development and manufacture of recording heads, which write information onto and read information from the recording disc inside a computer’s hard drive.
We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer with proven track records.
These roles will suit talented individuals who strive for excellence and are seeking to join an exciting, dynamic work environment within the IT team at Seagate’s Nano Technology, Thin-film Wafer Fabrication facility in Springtown.
Network Engineer

Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of mission critical network infrastructure to support the Springtown facility. You will also work with international colleagues to ensure the integrity of our global IT infrastructure.
You will continue to develop your knowledge and expertise as you work the latest technology to design and implement technical solutions to provide the levels of LAN, WAN and IP Telephony availability and performance required by a 24x7 manufacturing operation. You will also be responsible to ensure service availability through change management and address any issues through incident management and root cause analysis.
Applicants must possess at least a 2:2 Honours degree in a relevant discipline and at least one year’s relevant experience. Preference may be given to applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas: Cisco CCNA qualification, IP Telephony, WAN Routers, Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Switch configuration.
