Our client, a well known company within Northern Ireland are now seeking a Warehouse Controller, based at their County Down site.
Reporting to the Warehouse/Despatch Manager, the candidate will be an experienced Warehouse Controller with the ability to supervise the team and the day-to-day running of a fast paced, pressurised warehouse environment.

About The Role:
Mainly a day based role, but may be expected to revert to night shift on occasions throughout the year.
Candidate will support the Warehouse/Despatch Manager and cover this role when required.
Candidate will be responsible for planning and co-ordinating all daily and nightly warehouse activities.
Candidate must ensure that all goods inward and warehousing functions are run in an efficient and safe manner, ensuring agreed target levels are achieved.
Communication within the team and with various other departments is key as is the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, therefore flexibility is of paramount importance

The Candidate:
The candidate will have a good working knowledge of warehouse operations with previous supervisory experience.
Candidate will be able to multi task and prioritise workloads accordingly.
The candidate will be able to demonstrate experience gained in a similar or related role within a high volume warehouse & distribution environment.
The candidate will be able a strong team leader with the ability to motivate the team on a daily basis whilst also managing performance.
The role demands strong data and analytical skills, computer literacy and ideally an understanding of an ERP/MRP system.

Essential Criteria:
Proven supervisory/management skills in a similar role in a high volume warehouse and distribution environment.
Min 5 GCSE's Grade C or above.
Excellent people/;eadership skills.
Enthusiastic and positive team manager.
Be able to gain personal credibility whilst influencing and engaging with your teams.
Computer literate and experience with an ERP/MRO system essential.
Proven track record of continuous improvement.
