Matalan are currently looking for an experienced Retail Admin Manager to join their team in Newtownards. As a Retail Admin Manager, you will manage the administration, cash management functions and people administration using available resources whilst adhering to audit requirements to improve profitability and minimise loss. Your key responsibilities will include: · Adhere to and maintain effective management of daily cash and stock administration and rigorously investigate and escalate all discrepancies · Ensure all reports are reviewed on a daily, weekly, monthly basis (as prescribed) investigating any anomalies and escalating concerns to the management team (e.g. Nil-sales reports) · Direct, support and coach management teams to accurately maintain Continuous Improvement (CI) and business risk initiatives (e.g.
CCTV, Profit Protection Standards Review (PPSR), CI, PI counts) · Assist the Deputy Manager in the development and implementation of action plans to reduce stock loss, minimise risk and maximise profit · Comply with Health, Safety and Fire procedures in order to provide a safe working environment · Responsible for the daily input and validation of payroll, escalating any anomalies or concerns to the management team and manage and update details on the pay system including relevant eligibility to work in the UK, holidays, absence, etc. · Monitor the absence management of the store and co-ordinating any relevant RTW interviews and subsequent Absence Review Meetings · Ensure price checks are completed on a weekly basis and escalate concerns where necessary and manage and resolve till discrepancies as applicable, escalating the process further when issues persist · Co-ordinate team member inductions, issue relevant contracts of employment and uniforms and train and support the retention of high calibre team members using appropriate company documentation · Ensure that the training of all till operators has been completed · Consistently role model an outstanding level of customer service to both internal and external customers · To ensure that all relevant Insight Tasks and Area Manager communications have been completed · Validate the completion of security incident reports and ensure their completion in a timely manner and validate the daily availability checks have been completed and escalate concerns where necessary · Ensure the till area is kept clean, tidy and all stationary/carrier bags are available Experience Required: Our Retail Admin Managers come from a range of retail and administration backgrounds meaning we welcome applications from all candidates with at least 1 year administration experience. Successful candidates will have good analytical ability and data interpretation skills and experience of using Microsoft Word & Excel. Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.
