The technical team is Autonomy's largest department and is in constant need of top-class graduates.
The opportunities range from mathematical and algorithmic researchers, to software developers working on a variety of front-end or back-end products, or from technical writers and support engineers, to sales engineers who travel to international customer sites to solve key technical issues.
The following qualities would all prove an advantage:
- Intelligence - a successful candidate will probably have or be expecting a II-1 or I in a technical subject (eg Maths, Engineering,Natural Science, Computer Science).
- Good working knowledge of programming in a Windows or UNIX environment, and basic knowledge of C or Java.
- Ability to function well in a small team, requiring self-motivation and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Creativity and problem solving skills.
- The ability to meet and talk to technical customers.
