Opportunities for desktop technicians to join a major sporting event based in Glasgow. You will be involved in large scale hardware rollout and up to 2nd line troubleshooting and support.
The role will consist of the following;
- Deploy / decommission equipment, onsite trouble shooting
- Provide support according to the helpdesk support shift plan.
- Provide level 2 technical support according policies and procedures defined Desktop / Laptop / Server hardware related issues.
- Provide level 2 troubleshooting on all escalated desktop / laptop / server support issues.
- General on-site technical support.
- Manual Labour around movement of machines
- Boxing and un-boxing of machines and displays
- Cable Management of installed devices including network patching.
- Software Deployment, if and when requested, / Admin SWD process/procedures.
- Device imaging/ Admin process/procedures.
- Hardware repair and replacement
- Desk side support and troubleshooting / Admin process/procedures.
- Space Cleaning of operational areas
Previous Experience Required;
- Implementation Experience
- Large scale deployment of Desktop PCs, Laptops and Monitors in a highly visible and time sensitive environment
- Cable management to set standards
- POS installation experience
Operational Support
Desk side support in a corporate atmosphere
- Understanding of an SLA driven environment
- Use of Incident Management Process and tool.
- Knowledge of image delivery tools such as Norton Ghost, WinPE, Microsoft SCCM or LANdesk
- Ability to accept a significant level of responsibility and accountability
- Ability to quickly understand problems and escalate to the appropriate agent
- Understanding of a large corporate work environment
