Land Management - Lead Advisers
Starting salary £24,120
Fixed-term appointments to end of March 2013
Location: Northallerton, Nothallerton/Leeds

You will work as part of a local land management team, managing our work with customers to deliver environmental outcomes. You will lead casework including the delivery of Environmental Stewardship schemes, proactive engagement with existing agreement holders, undertake assessments of protected sites and respond to customers in respect of their responsibilities for these. Customer service and delivering environmental outcomes will be at the heart of your job. You will have a good knowledge of environmental land management, particularly within an agricultural business context, and be a confident communicator and negotiator. You will have good IT competency. Also, you will have the ability to convey complex requirements to a broad range of stakeholders. There will be the opportunity to contribute beyond your immediate team particularly if you can offer relevant specialist knowledge or skills.
