Summary of the role:
Responsible for the overall management and performance of a finance team, contracts manager and procurement functions.
Responsible for budgeting, reporting and all financial aspects of the project. The role will be working 2.5 days per week.

Core Responsibilities:
To generate of budget reports. Assist in the timely and accurate production of budgetary management information and the monitoring of performance against budget
To investigate complex enquiries providing assistance and advice. The role will include monthly investigations, variance analysis, interpretation and forecasting of management information. The provision of costing and other analytical information will also be required
To prepare financial reports, income statements and management reports, including quarterly reports on income, expenditure and any variations from budgets; Co-ordinate and carry out annual budget-setting exercise
To provide a monthly written budget and variance analysis report for distribution to allocated budget holders

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
A qualified accountant, CIPFA or CIMA registered with comprehensive understanding of financial processes, including Standing Orders, Standing Financial Instructions;
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and demonstrable analytical, interpretation and judgement skills, and pro-active aptitude;
Experience of managing staff;
Ability to plan and organise workload and work under pressure to meet required targets and deadlines;
