Our client is now looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Development Engineer to join the team in Port Talbot, paying a salary of £23,517 - £39,312.
The Process Control & Automation Department provides cost-effective Manufacturing IT, automation and specialist electronic systems compliant with company and industry standards. It also controls central contract ownership and specialist IT project management. An opportunity has become available within the department for an IT Infrastructure Development Engineer. Reporting directly to the Section Engineer Infrastructure, within the role, you will be responsible for developing designs and provide advanced technical support to the Process Control systems associated with the process control Infrastructure site-wide.
The successful candidate will preferably be educated to Degree level and will have a strong knowledge and experience of process control and automation in heavy plant applications, manufacturing IT standards and practices. You will have experience of Microsoft Windows Server System administration/development, Active Directory management, DFS, Symantec Backup Executive management. Ideally you will be trained or aspiring to Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) status.
