A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a permanent HR Manager working for this global retail brand based in East London. This role will be to manage a small team within HR, including 2 HR Advisors (1 based in London and 1 based in the South East). You will also manage an HR & Payroll Administrator.
This is a very hands-on, operational Human Resources Manager role, with a total client group of approx. 400 employees. As well as managing the HR team, you too will have a smaller business unit to provide generalist advice and guidance to. It would be beneficial for you to have some retail HR experience, such as working in environments where there is stores, warehousing and stock-taking, for example. This industry generally faces a high level of turnover and involves lots of negotiations with Managers. Due to the organisational structure there is not a huge amount of strategic work involved in this role.
Although you will be based in London due to the management responsibility for the HR Advisor in the South East of England, you will need to visit them regularly e.g. every other week for a day or so depending on what is going on in the business.
The client is ideally looking for someone ASAP as this post is currently vacant; the salary on offer is circa £40-50k + benefits and bonus (and discounted products).
