To assist with the reporting and control of all bookkeeping, accounting and financial functions within Zonal and its subsidiaries.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Purchase Ledger
Process the following according to Company procedures and systems:
Matching invoices to purchase orders.
Coding invoices.
Data input.
Supplier queries.
Supplier statement reconciliation.
Processing payment runs (BACS).
Month End procedures.
Sales Ledger
Sales orders entering.
Raise all invoices relating to sales orders.
Check engineers job sheets to raise all invoices relating to call out charges outside maintenance contracts and match up against repair quotations.
Update client asset register whenever any change is recorded in site equipment so as to raise clients quarterly maintenance account invoices.
Enter equipment orders into Navision.
Raise quotes, including repair quotes, for equipment or resources as required.
Liaise with account managers, customer head office personnel /architects to ensure that delivery dates for equipment are accurate.
Monthly and quarterly maintenance billing.
General administrative duties as required
Projects
Completion of project work including involvement in implementation of processes, testing and ensuring smooth implementation.
General
Assist in the preparation of any work required at the time of the companies audit.
Daily / monthly reconciliation work as and when required.
Any other tasks required by the Financial Controller
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Essential
Minimum of 2 years working in a finance office environment.
Intermediate MS Word and Excel skills.
Experience of implementing and following procedures.
Numerate, with good attention to detail and accuracy.
Planning and organisational skills; able to establish efficient and appropriate plans for self and others and adapt quickly and effectively to unexpected changes whilst still ensuring objectives are met.

CONTEXT
The Finance Assistant is based within the Finance and Administration Department, and is directly responsible to the Financial Controller. All staff in the department are ultimately responsible to the Finance Director.
