Post-doctoral research associate in molecular collision dynamics. Start the clock: A new direct method to study collisions of electronically excited molecules. A research associate position is available to join an exciting new chemical physics/physical chemistry project funded by the EPSRC. The position is available from the 1st June 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter for 1 year in the first instance, with the expectation of extension for up to another 3 years, subject to satisfactory performance. You should have a PhD in a relevant area of Chemical Physics / Physical Chemistry. Experience with lasers and/or vacuum technology is essential. The aim of this project is to apply a newly developed technique to study the dynamics of the collisions of electronically excited molecules at an unprecedented level of detail.
