QC Electrical/Instrument Inspector - Aberdeen - 40360

To ensure that the Company deliver a quality product, which achieves the requirements of the client and complies with national codes and standards. The inspector performs daily inspection from start to finish related activities to accomplish an efficient and effective inspection management system, in such a way that all activities comply with the requirements outlined in the Company Inspection Standards. Field input to improve the Inspection Management System for the project, which shall comply with and be certified to ISO9001. The Inspector is responsible for liaison with external quality organisations such as certification bodies, in conjunction with the Company Quality Manager The inspector is expected to be fully cognisant of the contents of the Company/Contract Inspection Standard and to operate in strict accordance with the requirements contained therein at all times.

Ensure all inspection works are completed in accordance with approved site inspections plans. Main Duties: To carry out inspection and maintenance records in accordance with Company policy & the contract requirements. To carry out inspection and maintenance records in accordance with Company policy & the contract requirements. Includes raising punch list items after inspection at Mechanical completion / pre-commissioning.

Performs inspections according predefined inspection scope in work packs. Assess inspection results in relation to applicable performance standards. Report results of carried out inspection activities according instructions of inspection management standard. Identifying any anomalies and report those according procedure as detailed in the inspection management standard.

Keep record of all inspection activities carried out, including incoming acceptance. Assist the Quality function in the development of QA/QC procedures / processes (on site). Support construction in the completion of punch list activities. Hold pre-production inspection meetings.

Quality, meeting participation (on site) & presentation on status with regards to the Quality function. Participation in the QA Internal Audits, and where necessary HSE audits. Participate in investigations into NCMR/CAR & NC's, raising reports and complete close outs. Monitor Plant & Equipment coming onto site and update Inspection Register.

Carry out Quarterly Plant & Equipment checks. Update equipment check report sheets. Health and Safety Responsibilities: To champion a strong safety and work ethic. Personal responsibilities for own safety and that of others.

Specific Training / Specialist Skills: To act as the QC E&I Inspector on site to ensure that all relevant procedures and systems are in place which will achieve or better the client and overall quality requirements Site Input Maintain the ISO9001 certification. To ensure that all QC works are undertaken by fully trained and competent personnel. To champion a strong safety and work ethic. As an inspection team member, to show enthusiasm for all relevant aspects of the inspection organisation.

To be self-motivated in carrying out all tasks required. To support company policy and objectives. To ensure concerns with any aspect of company policy or requirements are discussed towards the organisation. Recognises the opportunity to learn and takes advantage of this opportunity in gaining knowledge and skills.

Internal auditing experience. Experience: Experienced in the documentation and implementation of management systems to recognised standards (ISO-9001) within the Oil and Gas Industry. Manufacturing background (Mechanical/Piping) within the Oil and Gas industry. Familiar with industry recognised codes, standards and specifications,(PED, ATEX, PUWER etc.) Good team working skills.

Good interpersonal and communication skills Self starter, capable of working under own initiativeRelevant experience in Oil and Gas Installations. Current certificate for Hazardous Area COMPEX/ATEX Parts 1,2,3 and 4 (must be a current certificate) Sufficient knowledge to understand the implications and consequences of problems and concerns associated gas, oil and utility installations. Personal Skills: Good team working & building skills. Very good interpersonal skills.

Clear written and verbal communication skills. Pragmatic and open to change, self motivated. Qualifications: Diploma, Instrument or Electrical Engineering background (Apprentice or similar). Current certificate for Hazardous Area COMPEX Parts 1,2,3 and 4 (must be a current certificate).
