Our client, a leading food manufacturer based near Wigan in the North West are recruiting for a Technical Coordinator to work with the Technical Management team in the process of developing and operating the quality assurance function at the facility and ensuring that best practice is followed in the Food Safety, legality and quality of products manufactured.

The role involves:
To work with operational, process and NPD colleagues as required.
To communicate effectively with other members of the QA department and to ensure effective communication with category functions and external stake holders with specific regard to artwork control.
To ensure a technical monitoring system for food safety, legality and quality are in place for the site by maintaining technical key measure databases and compiling the technical key performance indicator reports (company & customer).
To assist in the maintenance of the quality management systems and processes in line with legal, customer, company and other best practice requirements for all products manufactured.
To observe safe working practices and highlights any potential environmental health and safety hazards to line management.
To identify and drive down costs to make a continual and sustainable improvement in cost effectiveness in the technical consumables area.
To plan all tasks to ensure all schedules and deadlines are adhered to.
To be considered for this role you MUST have worked in a similar role within the food industry and have intermediary HACCP certification Experience of artwork sign off including use of retailer database and dealing with audits.
