Management accounting responsibility to Corporate Services ,Overhead support , Services ,Fundraising ,Marketing /Communications in monthly accounts ,budget and reforecast process, input of phased departmental budgets and re-forecasts to templates, upload to accounting system and check for accuracy.
Variance Analysis on actual to budget or reforecast.
Preparation accounting adjustments as required (journals, accruals ,prepayments, deferred income ).
Lead responsibility for ensuring the timely preparation and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and other control accounts on a monthly basis supported by finance officer 1 balance sheet reconciliations.
Lead responsibility in assistance in the preparation and timely production of monthly and quarterly managements accounts for Head of Finance
Lead responsibility role in the conversion of management accounts to charity SORP accounts
To process monthly salaries
To provide and maintain an effective sales ledger service for non Care Services and provide effective credit control
To post Age NI No .1 /Shops bank accounts and keep track of Treasury account to Pegasus Opera and reconcile these on a monthly basis
Lead responsibility for liaison with funders, budget preparation with internal staff and the production of all monitoring and financial reports of projects according to the individual requirement of the funder specified in the timeframe including DHSSPS project funding
Lead responsibility to prepare detailed rolling cash flow forecasts on a monthly basis
Lead responsibility in preparation of internal finance office task procedures manual document with support from team
To work with the Head of Finance and Finance Officer one in scoping up and implementing a rolling internal audit programme to ensure a robust environment of documentation ,control and accountability
Process Gift Aid returns for Age NI and liaise with fundraising as required
To maintain Fixed Asset Register
Assist in the creation and development of reports of financial information from Pegasus Opera, XRL reporting tool and Excel to simplify internal finance needs of Age NI
Responsible for liaising with auditors and provision of information as required
Prepare management reports for Audit and Risk and Board of Trustees as required
Provide monthly management reports to budget holders
Ensure the organisation complies with statutory requirements in the submission of all financial returns
To liaise with statutory trusts and regulatory bodies as required.
To provide cover and support to Finance Officer 2 team as required and work with Head of Finance in scoping key areas of work above
Assist the Head of Finance and other team members as necessary at any time in any other tasks
Applicants must have the following essential criteria:

Experience of budgetary preparation
Experience of developing accounting procedures
Experience of variance analysis
Experience of producing financial/management reports
Experience of reconciling accounts
Proficient in use of MS Word & Excel

Part qualified at accounting technician level or above (or qualified by experience) in a busy accounting environment
