We require an experienced Business analyst with experience and a passion for eCommerce and the Web! My client, a leading, growing high street name, has a requirement for an e-Commerce Business Analyst to join their IT Projects Team. The business have a strong retail presence and a growing online piece and they are now looking for a BA with knowledge of e-Commerce systems such as Websphere, ATG, Hybris etc to work on key web projects.
The eCommece Systems Business analyst works closely with business and IT stakeholders, the Business Analyst will be responsible for evaluating existing business processes and systems in order to identify areas and opportunities for improvements to keep our client at the forefront of technology and innovation in the ecommerce / Web Arena. You will liaise with business users, gathering requirements and translating business needs into effective project briefs and specifications, ensuring they fit with business and IT strategies. Other responsibilities include, application support, liaising with external suppliers should issues arise, organising, co-ordinating and leading standards for UAT and supporting business "super users" to ensure they're fulfilling their role in the use of Websphere or other e-Commerce systems (ATG, Hybris, Magento etc)
Key skills and experience
- A very strong understanding of the e-commerce retail space
- Extensive knowledge of transactional e-Commerce systems in a Retail business (ideally with Websphere, Omniture, SEO), including e-commerce system design and operational concepts
- Have a good knowledge of project delivery processes and be confident in using them
- Be able to define an overall strategy for e-commerce system testing and be able to refresh it as required with "best practice"
o Strong senior stakeholder management skills
o Have specific experience of at least 2 of the following business functions:
o Website design and operation
o Webstore and web order fulfilment processes
o Retail Stores (Ordering and Stock Management)
o Merchandising
o Buying
o Marketing
o Multi-Channel solutions
