Salary £21,098 - £23,442 / *£26,610 - £29,566
Applications are invited to work as a Knowledge Transfer partnership Associate between Omex Agriculture in King's Lynn and The James Hutton Institute in Dundee. The postholder will work to identify and optimize compounds in the context of targeted nutrition that will prime plant resistance mechanisms. The work will develop future products for Omex Agriculture and the successful applicant will take the lead in establishing Omex's on-going research base for continued product and market development.
Applicants should possess a minimum qualification of BSc in a biological sciences subject and have experience of laboratory-based research. Knowledge of plant physiology, biochemistry and plant-microbe interactions is required. A motivation to translate research into practice in a commercial context is a pre-requisite.
Subject to successful conclusion, this post offers excellent prospects for a permanent position with Omex Agriculture.
Regular travel between The James Hutton Institute and Omex Agriculture, King's Lynn will be required in addition to infrequent travel to Winnipeg, Canada.
