We are currently looking for a passionate HR and Quality Coordinator to join our team.
Overview of Duties
- Responsible for the management of the Human Resources function
- Ensures that the HR strategies of the Hotel are aligned with both the Hotels and Company organisational objectives
- Provides support and advice for managers and staff in all Human Resource issues
- Ensures that in all instances, employment legislation is respected and best practice is adopted
- Is actively involved in the implementation of the Mercure Quality Guarantee
Main Responsibilities
Customer Relations
- Mobilises and challenges all Heads of Department to ensure that employees embody Brand expertise and the behavioural code in front of guests
- Works in collaboration with all departments to ensure that the hotel delivers the Mercure Quality Guarantee
- Acts as a Lobby Ambassador, engaging with and gathering feedback from guests
- Responsible for the daily quality check
Professional Techniques / Production
- Applies the company Human Resources policies and procedures as necessary
- Coordinates recruitment and selection in line with the company procedures
- Administers the monthly payroll
- Respects and ensure respect of Labour Regulations
- Ensures that all training and development are planned, conducted and evaluated in accordance with the company standards.
- Lives and Breathe Mercure Service Standards and Behaviours
- Manage Passion for Service training
- Delivers the Hotel Induction to new starters joining the hotel and company
- Keeps staff updated regarding the company’s ongoing human resources policies
- Ensures Personnel files are current, accurate and to standard
Team Management / Cross Departmental responsibilities
- Supports the HOD’s and fosters a positive atmosphere to encourage cohesion among departments, promoting cross-department working
- Together with the HODs organises social events
Environment
- Ensures all Health and Safety training and risk assessments have been carried out and the health and safety of all personnel is ensured at all times
- Respects the Brand’s commitment to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc)
- Champions Corporate Social Responsibility including Plan and Planet 21
