My client is a leading provider and navigation and planning software for marine seismic work. For over 20 years they have successfully provided software in oil and gas exploration, and this success means constant growth and strength within organisation and industry.

We have an opportunity for a software engineer to join the development team who are working on leading edge command and control systems for land seismic operations. This is an exciting opportunity involving the design and development of reliable, field robust and user friendly software, with occasional world wide travel, including time on remote field crews.

The team is enthuastic and flexible and we want to maintain the enthusiasm with similar minded professionals.

The successful candidate will be degree educated with a minimum of 2 years commercial experience in C++ and /or C#.Net programming. This is a position with a strong focus on real-time data flows and UI framework development.

The ideal software engineer will strong user interface experience with Qt on Linux and/or Windows platforms.

Location - Edinburgh

Salary - Basic £28,000 to 34,000 plus benefits package (Pension Scheme, Private Healthcare, Life Assurance and training).
