Requirements:
The successful applicant will be a competent and highly regarded individual who enjoys a varied role and is able to build strong working relationships with traders and end users in a range of scenarios for Capital Markets clients.
You will be prepared to work on the client’s site and work on a variety of projects of varying scale for that client.
Desired experience:
Unix Administration and Installation (system administrator/engineer experience)
Experience of hardware platforms and technologies (HP,IBM,network,SAN etc.) – setup, maintenance, configuration
High Availability and redundant architecture (design, implementation)
Experience of Financial institutions and trading platforms (implementation, support)
Basic understanding of network protocols, and technologies, LAN,WAN, TCP/IP, Multicast etc.
Beneficial experience:
Windows Server administration and Installation. (system administrator/engineer experience)
Market Data infrastructure (Reuters, Bloomberg, Direct Market Access)
Trade Application Support e.g. Fidessa, ION MarketView, GL, Patsystems, TT, Ullink, FIX, others
Understands business needs and requirements, and can participate in the process of achieving the required technical solution
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiast of technology and be able to demonstrate being involved in the process of finding solutions to complex business requirements across a broad spectrum of areas. A good team player as well as able to work on its own.
With top level communication skills you will be customer focused and be able to demonstrate high levels of expertise to clients. You will have demonstrable experience working as a software/infrastructure architect.
Suitable candidates will have a background in investment banking/private banking/trading environments and will be used to dealing with the complex infrastructure requirements needed trading environments.
