Specialist Occupational therapist to work in Medical Specialities working within an integrated Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Service. To provide an integrated OT /PT service commencing in Acute Medical Receiving along the continuum of the patient pathway to the downstream rehabilitation wards. Presence at 'Front Door' will ensure earlier identification of patients, support to medical /Nursing staff , EDD at the point of admission, decreased length of stay (LOS) reduced number of transitions and effective discharge focus. Will be delivered with a single point of contact, integrated OT /PT paperwork and blurring of professional roles. A Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent with HPC registration and substantial post registration experience. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
