Contrucciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles is one of the international market leaders in the design, manufacture and maintenance of rolling stock. We now have a vacancy for a Maintenance Engineer to join our growing maintenance team for the Edinburgh Tram project.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for:
Monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of the tram maintenance plan at providing the required operational performance.
The review, optimisation and update of the tram vehicles maintenance tasks, documentation and manuals.
Providing technical support to the maintenance teams.
Operating the defect reporting, analysis and corrective action systems.
Carrying out technical investigations as required based on reliability, performance and safety critical defects.
Operating the change control process for activities within the fleet.
Assisting in the identification of training needs, development of training programmes and courses.
Assisting in the continuous competency assessment of the maintenance team
On the job training will be provided however the right candidate will demonstrate a high level of self motivation to learn about the product and participate in an exciting challenge to form part of an efficient maintenance and technical team.
You must be a qualified Engineer with a degree in mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering. Previous work experience in an engineering sector is essential. Experience in the maintenance industry is beneficial but not essential.
Fluency in the English language is essential and Spanish although not required for this position would be seen as beneficial
