JOB DUTIES : Reporting to the Software Development Manager, in this role you will be working as part of a dynamic team who design and develop technically challenging software solutions using state of the art tools, techniques and processes to meet the Information System demands of a FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) business. In this varied role you will cover all aspects of the technical software development work relating to new and existing software systems, ranging from analysis, design, coding and testing, through to operational support. Education skills required:
You will be educated to HNC level or above in an IT related discipline, or have gained experience and training through an accredited IT conversion course and be able to demonstrate sound programming/coding skills. Preference will be given to those who can demonstrate one year's applied work experience developing commercial systems. Central to this role is the ability to author concise technical design, support and operational procedures documentation so excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential. The ability to demonstrate practical working experience in one or more of the following would also be highly desirable: Data Warehousing and Data Mining Tools, Visual Basic Net/ASP Net, Seagate Crystal Reports, designing and documenting complex software modules, analysing and documenting end-user requirements.
