Our client is a family owned textile company with over 150 years experience of trading with defence industries worldwide supplying, manufacturing and sourcing ceremonial and working dress uniform regalia and clothing accessories.
The sales have traditionally been driven from tendering and winning large contracts, and the company is now looking to develop additional sales channels. As a result this new position has been created, the success of which will be dependent on the individual's desire to succeed.
This is an exciting new role with an expanding and forward thinking company. You will be responsible for increasing the UK sales operations of the company, developing existing business and looking for new opportunities.
Achieve and exceed sales targets by continually identifying opportunities to maximise profitable sales of products through developing business with existing customers, enhancing the profile and image of The Wyedean Weaving Company and building relationships with new customers.
You will be responsible for developing profitable new business through effective management of a defined customer base. You will also generate your own leads, and on a regular basis you will visit existing customers and new business's to meet monthly and annual sales targets.
You will be calling business to business clients and prospects to sell existing products, and also develop product variations in conjunction with the production and purchasing teams, for new customers. You will be required to attend exhibitions and networking events to develop new relationships.
We are looking for a target driven Sales Development Executive who can communicate and engage at all levels, calling on existing clients for additional business and cold calling new clients to develop new relationships. To be considered for this exciting opportunity you must have proven field sales experience. It is also crucial that you are a self-starter, highly motivated and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a Business to Business role dealing on a daily basis with SME and large organisations, and it is therefore, key to be able to build and maintain rapport with key decision makers.
It is essential you have a proven sales record of achieving and exceeding targets, strong negotiation skills and the ability to convert enquiries to orders.
- Minimum of 5 years in field sales role
- Full driving licence
- Proven track record of working with key accounts and demonstrate high level of commercial acumen
- Coping with variety of cultures/personalities, competing priorities and winning trust and respect of high profile owners and decision makers
- Multi task management
