An excellent opportunity has arisen for a cash analyst to join a leading financial services organisation based in Edinburgh. Reporting to the cash Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently processing clean cash wire payment transactions, correctly processing exceptions in payment queues and any other payment related functions supported by cash operations payment unit.
Key Duties for the cash analyst are:
- Monitor and process all cash activity
- Efficiently assist internal and external clients with complex research, queries and issues
- Support the effective functioning of the department and the transition of workflow between different Geographical locations
- Ensure full understanding and adherence to corporate risk policy and standard operating procedures
- Interact constructively with clients, peers and management, participating in staff meetings
- Ensure errors are minimised; exposure to financial loss is minimised, and provide process improvement ideas
- Participates in the creation, testing and execution of department procedures
- Performs other duties as specified by Management.
Key skills for the cash analyst are:
- Strong overall knowledge of Swift standards and CHAPs rules with expertise in payments
- Demonstrated market knowledge and relevant market experience treasury and/or broking products
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication and time management skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
