Job Title: First Line Support

Location: Gateshead, NE11

Salary: Between £120-200 per week*

Start date: July 2012 Smart IT are looking for a friendly, ambitious and talented young individual, aged 16 to 18 years, to provide first line support to our clients in the North East.
You will be working alongside our first and second line engineers to provide businesses with a centralised, outsourced IT department, providing support for Microsoft Windows desktops and servers, desktop and server software (such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Exchange), network infrastructure, desktop and server repairs and installations.
The successful individual will be awarded a 12 month Microsoft Advanced Apprenticeship with our training provider QA Apprenticeships. On completion of the Apprenticeship the individual would secure a full time position as a first or second line engineer with Smart IT, with a competitive salary, industry recognised qualifications and great prospects.

Very good communication skills, methodical and logical approach to tasks Must enjoy problem solving A natural aptitude for understanding technical information A genuine interest in IT and technology A positive, ‘can do’ attitude Career focused and self-motivated Qualifications required:
Five GCSEs or equivalent at grade A*- C including English and Maths. The apprenticeship will last 12 months and would be a combination of 25% class room and 75% on the job training from our office in Team Valley, Gateshead. You will receive the following qualifications:
Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist (MCTS) CompTIA A+ and Network+ Certifications City & Guilds Certificate in IT Systems and Principles City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in IT Professional Competence You will be paid £120 per week whilst in your apprenticeship; on completion you will be offered a competitive salary as a First or Second Level Engineer.
