IT Operations Manager - 6 Month Contract
Responsible for running teams of various disciplines in the day to day operational management. Provide maintenance and support, problem and incident management and resolution.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate :
- Excellent operational Technical Management background, understanding and ethos.
- Good working knowledge of ITIL Service Management framework
- Good working knowledge of managing Technical Management technologies, teams and processes, spanning:
- Server/Communications Rooms (Power, UPS, air-con)
- Data/Voice Communications (LAN, WAN, WiFi, VoIP, Call Loggers, Pagers, 2-way Radios, etc)
- Systems (Windows Server O/S, AD and related technologies -, SCOM, MS clustering, MS SCCM, etc; NetApp SAN; CommVault backup; MS Exchange 2K7 ; McAfee ePO; VMWare; Checkpoint Firewalls and end-point security)
- ITIL Incident, Problem, Change, Capacity and Configuration Management processes
- Significant, extensive experience of managing teams to support core IT infrastructure within a busy operational environment (e.g. multi-site organisation with multiple WAN, VPN, LAN links, VoIP phone systems, Paging and Alarm system, etc for organisations of 1000 people, Windows server estate of 30 , MS Windows 2003 , MS Exchange 20077 ,NetApp, VMware, CommVault, etc)
- Significant and extensive experience of successfully managing teams (10 people), ideally also good experience of running a department.
- Demonstrable knowledge of IT commercial/supplier management and Project Management (PRINCE2) highly desirable
