Position: Part Time Community Safety Development Officer
Location: Edinburgh office
Salary: £10,800 per annum (£18,000 FTE)
Working hours: Part Time, 21 hours per week over 3 days (flexible but preferably Tues, Wed, Thurs).

An exciting part time position for a Community Safety Development Officer has arisen with our clients at their Edinburgh office. As part of a small team, the officer will facilitate home and water safety projects, handle enquiries and carry out support duties to ensure effective delivery of grant funded work programmes. Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) You will be expected to develop and deliver the annual home safety work programme in Scotland.
b) To promote our client’s authoritative influence through the research and provision of appropriate and accurate home and water safety services, information and advice. Essential skills/experience ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Must be educated to degree level or equivalent.
b) Have well developed verbal and written communication skills.
c) Demonstrable administration skills and
d) Proven interpersonal skills.
e) It is essential that you are able to work on your own initiative and as a team member.
f) Have experience in, or empathy, with safety agendas. Desirable skills/experience DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience in organising and running events, conferences and seminars.
b) Relevant experience developing and maintaining relationships with key contacts is preferred.
