A Major UK defence client, based in South Manchester, currently has a requirement for a Systems Designer to work on a contract basis in South Manchester with some additional travel to client site in Birmingham.

This role will site between the Systems Design Authority and a team of developers and develop the requirements which have been captured from the Systems Design Authority which are based on client site in Birmingham.

Please note, this role is not a developer role more a role for a systems designer who can create use case diagrams from the client to feed into the team of developers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create use case diagrams. The systems designer will analyse the requirements from a particular part of the clients business and develop plans/ diagrams for the development team to code/develop from.
• Bid solution design, costing and proposal preparation
• The preparation of system and interface requirements
• The production of functional design specifications.
• Providing technical guidance to the development teams ( through use case diagrams)

Required Experience:

• Extensive experience of using use case diagrams to develop plans and diagrams in order to feed into a development team
• Extensive experience using DOORS
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architect would be advantageous.
• This role will require travel between the base location in South Manchester and the client site in Birmingham.
