The Job

This is a fantastic role for a VB.NET/SQL/SCADA - Application Engineer or developer with the desire to work in a fast paced business within an industrial environment, this global business can offer both challenge and reward for engineers and developers with the drive to succeed.

Experience

• Expertise in VB.NET/SQL application development and Interfacing with industrial/manufacturing/control based systems.
• Teamwork in a project orientated environment.
• Communicating to both internal and external customers would be ideal
• Experience with control based software and systems e.g. SCADA or PLC's.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include:

• Integrating applications and developed software with industrial, manufacturing or control based systems (SCADA or PLC's).
• To work as part of a team and take instruction and guidance from a project manager.
• Design, build and test data systems and applications in VB.net (2005 or above) and T-SQL/ SQL 2005.
• Installation and commissioning of data systems and applications.
• Provide operation and maintenance training to customers and internally, as required, including training documentation.

Skills

Experience or skill in all or most of the following skills is essential for this role as successful candidates will be required to hit the ground running.

• VB.Net development.
• SQL 2005/T-SQL
• Integrating software with industrial, manufacturing or control based systems (SCADA or PLC's).
• Full software lifecycle experience
• Production or assisted production of training documentation
• On-site and remote training of internal and external customers.

Enthusiasm and a desire for success are character traits our client holds dear as well as the ability to show leadership and sensible decision making when required.

Willingness to travel if required and possession of current driving licence is essential in this position.
