The overall aim of this role is to complete pack labelling projects through all stages from design initiation to final production. Provide support to production in the operation of labelling systems, software and training. Liaison with customers, subcontractors and packaging suppliers about labelling requirements globally. Administration of Labelling systems, documents and procedures.
Main Tasks:
Design of Labelling to meet Regulatory, Corporate & Customer requirements
Coordination, Timeline Planning and Progress Reporting of individual and team Labelling projects
Coordinate, track and manage other Team members to complete “discrete work packages” in support of specific projects
Production support of labelling and label printing systems
Devise solutions to pack labelling problems in the course of project work
Recognise and suggest cost/quality improvement opportunities within the pack labelling processes
Ensure project assignments are completed on time and budget
Prepare specifications, cost estimates and control documents as necessary.
Maintain project files and issue reports when requested
Obtain relevant technical literature through journals, standards etc relating to labelling
Maintenance and administration of all labelling artwork, data and information retention systems
Maintain close liaison when working with staff and take leading role when this is assigned
Liaise with other departments globally within the company, outside suppliers, sub-contractors and customers in course of project work
Checking and approval of labelling, labelling documentation and supplier proofs
Organise training and workload for temporary employees when requested
Desired Skills and Experience
Education and Experience:
Educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent, together with good computer skills
Must be able to work on own initiative and be well-organised, with good attention to detail
Must have proven administration and work coordination skills
Required to undertake a wide range of labelling tasks, at the same time, with a high level of accuracy
Must be PC computer literate with MS Office applications, and experienced in using Adobe Illustrator and Indesign is essential. Training will be given for other bespoke production labelling systems.
