Position Purpose:
NaviNet is seeking a talented, self-motivated Quality Assurance professional to join our QA team. The successful candidate will have a passion for, and background in, developing and implementing high quality test automation solutions. As a QA automation engineer, you will create, design, execute and maintain automation solutions that will help reduce cost, improve quality and increase overall testing productivity. Our QA engineers are expected to be self-starters who can operate well under a variety of different situations and types of projects, ranging from a team of one to a team of many.

Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership in software testing methodologies, test automation approaches and planning, QA processes and defect and metrics tracking.

Ensure that system requirements are satisfied for internal and external application users.

Identify risks and ensure that testing is complete prior to release.

Work to ensure that automation solutions meet design specifications and are compliant with NaviNet quality standards.

Collaborate with platform developers, architects, and fellow QA engineers to resolve issues.

Define, develop and execute test automation engineering tasks, which include analysis of test automation requirements and test cases, monitoring/analyzing test results, collecting test metrics and conducting test reporting.

Work across teams within and outside the QA organization to execute multiple tasks/assignments simultaneously with input from several resources.

Develop and improve automation testing methods and processes and improve overall quality of testing deliverables.

Develop automated solutions to support all aspects of Quality Assurance, including the execution of test plans to perform component, functional, regression, and system testing.

Coach and mentor existing QA staff to equip them with the necessary skills to contribute to the overall automation solution.

Manage a process for ensuring the integrity of the automated solutions; for example by verifying that all contributions are periodically code reviewed, etc.

Identify and communicate issues/risks, applying technical and root cause analysis skills.

Requirements:
Extensive testing experience with strong background in Software Quality Assurance.

Extensive experience designing maintainable automated testing solutions for complex, large, scalable, distributed environments.

Extensive testing experience for multi-tier web-based applications.

Strong background and hands-on experience in several automated testing tools.

Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development, to support the extension of TDD via the use of natural language, is a plus.

High proficiency working with Microsoft technologies (IIS, SQL Server, Visual Studio, .Net, COM+).

Good understanding of web-based service-level interaction such as web browsers, Java, AJAX, HTTP, HTML/XML, JavaScript etc, and ability to debug/trace low level HTTP(s) data interchange.

Experience with server configuration and environment setup skills. Experience with VMWare is a plus.

Thorough orientation in DBMS concepts, SQL, stored procedures, and awareness of schema and data optimization principles.

Knowledge of one or more scripting languages. Passion for developing high quality solid automation solutions.
