The Company
Our client is an award winning Edinburgh venue who offers a stylish and versatile space for a wide variety of exciting and unique events. With an experienced, creative and committed team of staff who are passionate about creating a positive buzz for each and every occasion they host, from weddings to exhibitions, catering for 30 to 3000.

The Role
Working full time from the venue sales office, usual hours will be 40 per week, however as this role encompasses the wedding market at the venue, the candidate must be willing to work additional hours at weekends when necessary.
You will be responsible for the sale and co-ordination of our busy wedding sector, usually approximately 70 weddings per year. You will be responsible for dealing with couples from enquiry stage until the big day, ensuring our guests are offered the best service throughout this process.
The role also includes the sale and co-ordination of our successful wedding exhibition which is run bi-annually at the venue, from stand sales to on site event management at the show.
More generally you will require the flexibility to be involved in other event markets such as Christmas, conference, and dinners; therefore the ideal candidate will have good all round event sales experience with a particular interest in the wedding sector.

The Candidate
To be considered for the role you need to have experience and a strong track record of event and wedding sales.
You will have a solid understanding of the sales process. You will have a high activity rate, be PC literate and creative with the ability to deal with all levels. You will be commercially aware, motivated and enthusiastic with an ethical approach to sales. You will have the ability to multi task across different areas of the business and must enjoy the challenge of a diverse and interesting role.
You will be PC literate across Microsoft Office, with experience in using Artifax / Sage CRM an advantage. A creative, articulate and proactive person you must enjoy working within a small but dynamic team. The ability to make independent decisions while reporting to venue management is also essential.
You will be responsible for working to set revenue targets and key performance indicators.
