A Java Developer is required to assist with the development, documentation, testing and support of the phase 1 interfaces required by the ocean bulk project.
Major Tasks:
Develop interfaces in Java using Active MQ messaging
Provide development support and solutions for custom applications
Provide support and solutions for legacy data transition/transformation
Support interfaces and resolve defects during testing and go live
Provide knowledge transfer to other developers in team
Misc duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience
4+ Years developing in Java and .NET
Experience troubleshooting and resolving defects
Experience working in a project environment
Experience working with one or more impacted legacy applications or interfaces
Java

Database administration (Oracle and MS SQL)
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex applications
Fast learner
Abiblity to work in a stressful environment
Business fluency in English
Preferred:
Knowledge of a trading business
Knowledge of Active MQ messaging or other interface technology
