Multi-event organisation now looking to appoint a General Manager - Security to develop world-class Policies, Plans and Procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Define and develop the Security Roadmap Develop the Security operations plans Provide specialist Security advice and scope the Security equipment and systems necessary to support:
- Competition Venues
- Non-Competition venues Opening and Closing Ceremonies operations
- Specialist road events
- Games Village and Satellite Village operations
- Test Events Develop projected Games-time staff roles and responsibilities to support the Security function to ensure systematic and seamless delivery of all clients and stakeholders requirements Analyse the requirements games-wide of all Security requirements and develop strategies to ensure successful fulfilment Be responsible for the preparation and submission of all Knowledge Transfer materials in respect of Games Security Represent department’s interest in Games-wide planning teams. Develop Policies, Plans and Procedures as parameters for Security activity Provide specialist Security input to design of Games venues, sites and facilities Working with the Venues Department, analyse and develop pathing solutions to support successful venue operations Co-ordinate and prepare all necessary tender documentation for development of suitable Security agreements Manage the on-going relationships with service providers and contractors to ensure efficient and effective delivery Build and manage a high performance team, including recruiting, performance management, resolving problems, coaching, objective setting and other duties related to managing a team Ensure all contractors compliance to health and safety standards
Skills & Experience Required
Competent in managing Security operations in a high-profile multi-sport Games environment or equivalent Competent in translating client requirements into efficient Security operations Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary organisation and to build active, cooperative partnerships with external organisations in an integrated manner Direct practical experience of providing technical/operational Security expertise to venue infrastructure housing major sports events or equivalent events
Please note this is a contract role up until August 2014.
