Vacancy Description
- Management of Leeds based Trustee & Depositary Reconciliation and Fund Administration (NAV Production and related InvestOne and Smartstream processes and legacy Utopia) Teams;
- Operational delivery of processes in accordance with SLA’s and reporting of monthly KPI data;
- Managing Departmental Risk and ensuring Regulatory adherence of Operational Teams; and
- Change/Business Process Re-engineering implementation.
Management of Leeds Fund Administration & Reconciliation
- Establish and maintain correct structure for Leeds teams;
- Hold regular team meetings, rollout communications;
- Ensure training is consistently rolled out/completed;
- Ensure recruitment adheres to competency based framework;
- Manage recruitment pipeline to keep resourcing at optimal levels allowing for turnover and new business pipeline; and
- Ensure Performance appraisals and associated development plans are completed on timely basis.
Operational Delivery
- Refresh operational KPI and internal SLA standards, ensuring all teams consistently delivery to agreed targets;
- Ensure adherence of operational teams to external SLA’s;
- Improve operational teams’ efficiency on a quarter by quarter basis – targets to be agreed/refreshed with line Manager;
Ensure timely responses to auditor, Trustee/Depositary
Risk and Regulation
- Ensure risk registers are maintained to time and quality;
- Ensure procedures are updated on timely basis;
- Ensure service adheres to risk and regulatory parameters;
- Ensure responses to Group Risk & Business Assurance and Compliance Monitoring are delivered in accurate/timely manner;
- Responsible for ensuring that TCF principles are embedded in operational teams such that fair treatment of customers is central to departmental culture; and
- Keep up to date with industry trends.
Change and Business Process Re-engineering
- Participant in definition stage and subsequent implementation of agreed initiatives to drive process changes re CFG operations that fall under jurisdiction;
- Prioritise all IT logs, feeding into “BRF” on timely basis;
- Participate in CFG NB&C Committee meetings;
- Engage Leeds operations in change activity as appropriate, in particular;
o Workflow testing and implementation; and
o Operational system replacement programme.
- Ensure the safe operational transition of all new business.
Essential Experience/Skills
Good working knowledge of;
- Current UK funds legislation
- The obligations of the investment manager under the guidelines as outlined in the COLL sourcebook;
- Detailed Operational knowledge of all Fund Administration related functions and can demonstrate a clear understanding of the processes involved in the valuation of Collective Investment Schemes and reconciliation of daily and periodic data;
- In particular, strong technical skills in related to NAV validation processes and delivery are essential.

- Good analytical skills – can identify trends, issues and provide recommendations that address root causes;
- Proven communication and written skills, including mentoring and staff development;
- Proactive in identifying and assessing impact of regulatory obligations and forthcoming changes.
Personal Attributes
- Track record of developing effective working relationships with internal departments;
- Ability to build relationships at all levels including Client / IMD;
- Proven Staff Management experience, in minimum of Manager capacity;
- Held similar positions within Regulated Funds industry.
