This highly successful international retail group are continuing to go from strength to strength and as part of their continuing growth plans are now seeking to appoint a highly commercial Regional HR Manager into this role supporting their store network in Northern Ireland.
As Regional HR manager you will deliver a proactive and responsive generalist HR service to Management teams based in the region. Initially the role will make a significant contribution to the company's ambitious growth strategy and resourcing requirements, working in partnership with the Central HR Departments and Senior Retail Management Teams. During a period of rapid expansion, the HR Manager will ensure that they are providing a service in a way that will support and uphold the company's ethos.
The role of the HR Manager is to support and coach local Management teams in the successful development and implementation of operational HR best practice. The incumbent will be principally accountable for ensuring that cost efficient, quality focused HR processes are adhered to, whilst understanding the issues and parameters within which to operate; analyse issues; evaluate options and give managers possible solution and likely consequences to matters in relation to resourcing, selection, development, employee relations and employment law.
Regional HR Manager - Key Accountabilities/Actions:
- Provide local Management teams with advice and guidance on all matters regarding to employment legislation and HR policies and procedures. Actively identify commercially focused HR solutions that deliver operational performance improvements.
- Support and attendance, where required, at disciplinary, grievance, appeal and long term sick meetings.
- Work with the Regional HR Business Partner, central HR Departments and Central Services Functions to ensure effective delivery of the local HR people strategy.
- Create and encourage use of a suite of “attraction” materials and develop and implement effective recruitment and selection tools and processes for Store Management and Colleague Teams.
- Run assessment centres and co-ordinate Store Management and all new store recruitment activity.
- Conduct HR/training audits on new and existing stores and be responsible for undertaking training needs analysis and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Run leadership and development courses; and deliver training courses for Store Management and Colleague Teams.
- In conjunction with the Regional HR Business Partner review and development of local communication methods to ensure business consistency.
- The pro-active resolution of local people challenges to enable delivery of business objectives.
- Work with Leadership Managers to develop capability, coaching and mentoring as and when appropriate.
- Support in the implementation of new policy and procedures and company initiatives.
Regional HR Manager - Need to know:
- Good working knowledge of employee relations with relevant HR operational experience within ROI and Northern Ireland.
- Full working knowledge of ROI and Northern Ireland legislation, jurisdictions and tribunal experience.
- Relevant Human Resources qualification with a strong commitment to continuing professional development.
- Knowledge of best practice HR interventions and experience of advising managers on employment law matters.
- Experience of driving effective resourcing solutions in a fast paced retail environment.
- Good business awareness.
- Training and facilitation experience.
